SUMMARY:9th Annual Educator's Summit: Awareness in Action
DESCRIPTION:Each day\, participants will attend a series of four in-person sessions presented by subject matter experts. Topics will include domestic violence\, teen dating violence in students with disabilities\, sextortion and generative AI\, restorative practices\, addressing trauma at the elementary level\, teen strangulation\, and human trafficking. Participants will have the ability to engage with interactive self-care stations and network with local service providers. \nAll educators\, in-school professionals\, social service agency staff\, nurses\, social workers\, counselors\, and other allied professionals are welcome to attend! \nFree PDCs are available for certified educators and will be issued following a completed sign-in and evaluation. Please note that PDCs will be distributed in half-day increments. \nFree CEUs are available and provided by Rosecrance for nurses\, social workers\, and counselors following a completed sign-in and evaluation. \nOpening remarks will begin at 9:00 am.
