Each year, Postpartum Support International (PSI) hosts Climb events all over the world to shine a light on the number one complication of childbearing—perinatal mental health disorders (PMHD). Families, providers, and allies gather together to highlight the importance of perinatal mental health and community support. This is Rockford’s third year hosting a Climb in our community.
The Climb is the world’s largest event dedicated to raising awareness and understanding of perinatal mental health disorders. Volunteers organize free community events to offer connection points between parents, professionals, support services and community resources, while fundraising for care during this critical period of time. We gather in recognition of each individual’s Climb out of perinatal mental health complications and onto recovery.
